Crazy 8's

The VERY first establishment of Sisterlocks in my career nonetheless, I retightened her hair on September 26, 2009 which happened to be her 1st year mark.  When I intially met this client her trademark was two strand twisted. However, she always found her way to play in my hair at a site where I was employed, in West Palm Beach. One day asked me how did I get me hair so neat and small, she continued by inquiring if  my hair was at that time locked ("dreds" as she referred to them at the time).

I told her to come see me the next day and we could sit down to discuss what exactly it was that she was seeking to do with her hair in further details. Promptly she came to my office directly after her classes the next day, after giving  her a brief description and reiterated the importance of making a sound decision, for Sisterlocks was not merely a hairstyle but more of a lifestyle. Somewhat skeptical, she asked various questions, which I encouraged and invited, we talked much longer than expected. Afterwards I suggested she meditate on the idea for a few days,  if she was still interested after than the next step would be to place a few test locks in her hair 1). the partner was correct for the curl pattern of her hair type and 2). so she could see what her hair would look like with Sisterlocks. I alloted her a week to make a decision, on the contrary, barely 2 days passed by before my client came into my office again and said:

"I know I want Sisterlocks, I don't want you to put the test locks in, I want my hair to look like yours just not as small. I'll sign something saying I will keep my new lifestyle if you could just do my hair, school is beginning soon and I refuse to twist my hair again (as she began laughing) it keeps falling out when I take them out....O and I'll have the money up front" as she smiled anxiously awaiting a response!

Knowing she was serious at that point, I kept my word, scheduling her within the upcoming week. Although I knew she was serious its my duty to make sure that procedures of Sisterlocks to be upheld to the highest regard. Assuring that the certification that I earned is carried otu ethically and just. Being in the locking business, its easy to get over on people (trust me I've seen it too  many times), but that's not my aim, I'd rather you change you mind and instead come to me to braid your hair until your ready to lock your hair.

 

This client has been coming to me faithfully and continues to come,in the past 6 months her hair has taken some great leaps, appears she's hit a growth spert. She makes it her choice to use Sisterlock shampoo on her hair and other natural hair solutions that I make for her and my other clients from time to time. She's very satified with the outcome of hair, although she has not told me so, but the fact that she comes to me from WPB lets me know alot about her desire to get the job done correct, the first time around.
